Exporting Great Quality/Low File Size

I'm having a problem with exporting my videos into quicktime format. (.mov)

Everytime I export, the quality is horrible. It's nothing close to the great quality my camera captures (Panasonic DVX100)

Does anyone know how to export great quality videos with a low file size? Please help, I have a project due this Friday. Thank you.

So, do I open the Premiere file (I forgot what the file extention was) in After Effects and export it from there? Or do I open, in this case a .mov file, it in After Effects and export it through there? Thank you!

i would render out the finshed .avi and then just import it into an AE timeline and export it throug the render que.

What you need to do is export your project to the PP2 default file. It's an AVI file. Open this in AE and use the render queue with the settings you want.

You should really invest in QuickTime 7 Pro though. It's really worth the H.264 compression you get. AE can only use the Sorenson codec which is great and all.... but H.264 (the QT 7 Pro native) is so much better.
