Exporting for Web

I am trying to export my 8 min short from Premiere to a relatively small video file. I'm not sure it makes a difference, but I shot it with a dvx on 24pa. I am mainly concerned with size, as I would like my films to be availiable on my website for all to view.

I first tried to export it as a quicktime file. I set it to sorensen 3, and set the quality level at 25%. The resulting MOV file was 173 MB, and the quality was lousy. I then played around with a few different AVI settings...none of which worked.

How can I get a video with reasonable sixe and picture quality? I see them all the time, all over the internet.

I had the same problem. And after much agrevation. I came to the conclution that Premiere is simply aweful for compression. I ended up getting sorenson squeeze and my problems were solved.

What do you mean when you say that you got sorensen squeeze? Is that a program? A plug-in...Does it work with Premiere? I cannot afford to change editing software at this point.
