Exporting for web

I can't seem to make my file look good AND small. I have it as a animation QT. It's over 600 megs. It always loses too much quality when I try to either export it as a flv or use flash video encoder. I've also tried several exports in Premiere with bad results also. Maybe it is too detailed with too much movement to compress well or maybe I'm doing something wrong. Here's a pic of what it looks like at full quality for reference:

This is only a test of sorts so it's nothing that important right now but if anyone can help I'd appreciate it.

FLV's never have great quality, IMO, especially when heavily compressing something. I would go the H264 route, seeing as it's quality is generally better with less work. Also, they can now be played through Flash, so no barrier there. Also, export full res from AE then export your web version from something Quicktime Pro. Better results and much, much faster.
