Exporting For Use In Final Cut.

Hello all
I have been messing around with this and it's driving me nuts....I am working with AE 7.0
and Final Cut. I am doing some effects in, fittingly enough, After Effects, one of which is zooming in on a old book.
When I export it it from AE it looks really lousy if i use the compression NTSC BUT it preserves its aspect ratio - wide screen.
When I export using "animation" compression it looks great...but the aspect ratio gets screwed up and it looks like 4:3 , non anamorphic /widescreen

Any ideas? I am working on a Mac G5 OSX 10.48

Check your comp settings...
Hello
Thanks for responding. The comp settings are d1/dv ntsc widescreen 1.2, 23.98 FPS, 720X480 lock aspect raio 3:2. When I export using NTSC compression the ratio is maintained. eg, it looks widescreen, but when i export using animation compression the ratio looks like 4:3 instead of 16X9
