What is the best method for exporting your audio tracks out of FCP for your audio engineer to work with? Is it to make an OMF file? And if so, does that preserve the tracks individually?
Thanks ahead of time for your suggestions!

Yes and Yes. The new version of FCP may have AAF export, not sure. If it does that is a slightly better route. What wont get transfered in an OMF from FCP is automation. So no volume automation will end up in the post audio app.
Also make sure all you audio is at the same sample rate. If not you need to render it in the correct sample rate. This some times happens if you brought in some audio CD material and didn't convert to 48k Or if for some reason some of the DV tracks were recorded at 32k. You might also do your self a favor and unless this is for broadcast make sure your TC is NDF not DF.
