Exporting anamorphic project as MOV - PROBLEM

Have an anamorphic project in FCP (shot in squeeze mode on HVX cam)

Project is done - exports to DVD perfectly (of course preserving 16:9)

However when attempting to export as a MOV full rez and/or web size it loses the 16:9 thing and looks squeezed (regardless of settings.)

HELP - making me crazy? And am on deadline.

Off the top of my head... one way is clear, the other not.

I've talked to the QT guys and they say it's a FCP issue... something about an 'atom' not transfering somehow.

BUT -

#1) This way I know works!! -- File - Export - QT Conversion... I like Broadband High - then change OPTIONS and SIZE to reflect 16:9. Again, I like 480x270.

#2) Less clear but this is really the issue:

File - Export - QT Movie - Current Settings. Take THAT file and force to open in QT. Then, with the movie open, hit APPLE-J. Then, you'll see the video name... audio tracks and video track. Click on the VIDEO NAME in the window. Just below - there are 4(ish) tabs... select the far right one. There you'll see some radio buttons. Check the LAST one and from the pulldown choose CLEAN. That somehow shifts the pixel ratio. Export from QT Player.

Or - just try the "CLEAN" thing from the already exported and compressed file... though I'm not sure that one works.
