I'm trying to export a decent h.264 file from premiere cs3 on my PC. The files will be used by clients, friends, whoever. The problem is that I can't get Premiere to export an h264 file with aac audio unless it uses the mainconcept video codec. The mainconcept encoder will play on my PC, but is nowhere near the quality of the Quicktime encoder . In fact, I cannot even play the mainconcept's exported h.264 files on my WD HD Media player to test them out on my TV.
I've Tried using both the "Export Movie" and "Adobe Media Encoder". I know that AME has more options. AAC does not appear as an option for the quicktime h264 encoding.
(remember I'm on PC)
* In Adobe Media Encoder to encode in h264, you can choose Quicktime or H264/H264 Blu-Ray. The H264/H264 Blu-Ray is the Mainconcept encoder. Mainconcept gives me AAC option, but the video looks terrible and choppy. Does not play on some machines. I would like to use the "Quicktime" h264 encoder option--works great with video, but there is no aac audio!
Possible solutions?
* Do I need to install quicktime pro? Is there an install on the adobe website? Do I need to Buy Nero? Is is just not an option on the PC?
I'm looking for a solution that does not involve multiple programs, e.g., exporting from premiere using one codec, exporting the audio, then demuxing, re-encoding or whatever to make the final file.)
Please help! I'm all out of ideas!
