Export via Quicktime or Quicktime conversion?

When ever I export from FCP, I use Quicktime Conversion but I just read in another post that Export > Quicktime is better.

When I export a QT file using Export > Quicktime (DV/DVCPro NTSC) , the file is a bit stretched in Quicktime player. When I open that same file in FCP, it looks fine.

Then I tried exporting using Export > Quicktime Conversion, using the same compressor and the file opens correctly in both QT player and FCP.

Any thoughts on why the file created using Export > Quicktime would look stretched when opened in Quicktime Player but normal in FCP?

Should I just keep using Export > Quicktime Conversion?
Thanks,
Andrew

I use Export - Quicktime Movie for any full resolution copy I want to save or import into another project.

I use Export - Quicktime Conversion any time I want to convert it to another format for web or smaller reference copy.

Anamorphic? Square/rectangle pixels?

Google if you're confused. I (personally) have NO frigging idea what the hell you are talking about. It's either one or the other. Unless of course you care to explain yourself further!!!

Damn kids!
