Export to tape with burned in time code?

Hi Everyone,

I'm editing with Premier Pro 1.5

A client has asked me to edit a short video biography (5 minutes) and export to VHS tape with burned in timecode. They will be writing script to my edit, and of course they need timecode.

Is there any way to lay in visable timecode in Premier? Perhaps something I could lay down over the timeline?

Any assistance you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Peter

This is a feature built into PPro 2.

In 1.5 you would need to find or create a second stream with your running timecode (at the frame rate you are using) and place it into a different video track to get what you are looking for.

It can be done, but frankly, there are so many things about PPro 2 that are better, I would really recommend that you consider upgrading. You won't be sorry.

Thanks for the advice. I'm going to upgrade to 2.0, I just can't right now for this project.

I'm not clear what you mean by "find or create a second stream with your running time code". Is this a plug-in?

Thanks

Peter
