Export to DVD not 24fps?

My footage is 24pa. I created my project using the 24fps setting. When I select export to dvd the default setting is 29.97fps non-drop. Should I change it to 23.97? I assume the program would pick the right fps setting per the 24fps setting when I created the file, but this doesn't seem right.

Thanks for the help!!!

Yeah, I got the fact that 24fps is 23.97, and 30fps is 29.97, but the confusion comes with why would a project set on 24p use 29.97 as the defalt export. Long story short I decided to export as 23.97 and 29.97 to check the difference. 29.97 looks funny, so it is obviously the wrong choice. I selected 23.97, but I got the "Error due to no DDL (or was it DLL) plug in" message.

That's how it goes. What can go wrong.... does. LOL

That's the question nobody has the answer to. Render the same file using the 3 different settings 23.97, 29.97 drop frame, 29.97 non drop frame. Compare them. they are all the same size. 23.97 should be much smaller. It's not but if you look closely it's compressed a bit different than the two 29.97 files. No explanation what is going on. Wish Adobe would explain the difference.

Well, it's nice to know I'm not going crazy. LOL

I've been looking for a book on advice when it comes to stuff like this, but no such luck. It all seems hit and miss. Even the Adobe PP2.0 Classroom in a Book I have doesn't talk about compression/settings and such.

Thanks for the response!
