Problem: I'm exporting to microsoft avi (compression set to "none") from an SD video in Premiere CS3 and my CPU is not under 100% load. However, when I export to "uncompressed avi" all four cores of my CPU are maxed at 100% load. As a result, the "microsoft avi" render is taking 3 times as long as the "uncompressed avi" render.
Question: Can anybody tell me why Premiere isn't maxing out my CPU when rendering to microsoft avi?
Computer specs: q6600 (quad core), 3.5 gigs of ram (XP pro), 7200 rpm SATA hard drives (program, scratch disk, and pagefile on separate drives).
