export question

I editing on Vegas Pro 12.

I have footage that was shot on an MKIII-5D.

That footage was imported into a Vegas timeline and edited in it's same
initial format (1920 × 1080).

I need to export certain portions of this film and send it to another editor
for color processing and transitions.

In FCP, I would merely export the portion I need by making the movie
self-contained without recompressing it.

How can I do that same thing using Vegas?

If you render to the same format as the source material, and you haven't added any FX or changed the footage at all, it won't be recompressed. Assuming you have that option chosen in preferences, of course.

Tried both HD EX and HD422 and they both won't open up for JT. JT is on a Mac machine - and FCP and also tried using a plugin and that won't work either? He also used Apple Pro res 422 and it won't work either. MXF conver also was used. Any ideas?

The footage was shot on the Canon 5d mkiii at 1920x1080 24fps Drop onto the Vegas Pro Time line. The scene has been edited and needs to render out at the same size file as the original file so the color correction and addition editing can be done without losing any major res. JT is editing on FCP. He finally got the HD EX open but rather have the higher gb that the HDCAM 422 has to offer. The test footage was 45 seconds long. On the HD EX it rendered out at 152mb and the HDCAM 422 it rendered out at 1.92gb.

Any ideas?
