Export Question for vimeo

I shot conference in 30p and it needs to go to a website through vimeo. I was wondering if anybody knows the best compression settings for 30p video. I exported my FCP sequence to compressor at: web -> quicktime -> H.264 3000Kbps streaming and the quality looks poor. Is that how its supposed to look or is there a better setting?

thanks

Thanks. I went there and thats how I got the original settings I listed above that look terrible... it could be that the video is too long. I guess there is no specific preset to use, you just have to customize something specific for your video.

Is this HD or SD? Are you exporting 16:9 or 4:3? Pretend like we can't see your screen from here and describe what you're doing.

Whats the link for your video? I noticed some users have complained about it being choppy. Some I look at on my laptop are choppy, but when I look at them on my desktop comp (MacPro), it is fine.

it's an SD video, 4:3. 29.9 timeline, shot on 30p. The client needs the video for their website. is there a recommended compressor setting for this type of video? i exported a quicktime self contained movie using current settings, then putting this file into compressor. the video is quite long, it's basically a panel discussion that lasts 50 minutes.

thanks
