Export HD PAL to NTSC

I am hoping there is a simple answer to this question considering I have only one day to figure it out before a film fest the video is in.

I am trying to expot a PAL project as an NTSC avi.

I had captured HD footage into my project after selecting project settings as "HDV 1080i25 (50i)". I had no idea Adobe was going make the footage into PAL, and now I need to export it as NTSC. Ive tried exporting the film as an AVI after just selecting"D1/DV NTSC Widescreen 16:9 (1.2)" in export settings, but the quality came out horrible.

Anything? Thanks
 
When you capture, it can't make the footage into something it's not. If it was 60i footage, it'll be captured that way.

What did you shoot this on? You're sure it isn't just 50i footage?
