export/edit to tape problem...

first of all, can FCP edit/export (basically send the finished mvie sequence) to tape via firewire into the DVX100b?

If so, I'm having trouble...I tried all three forms of exporting to mini-DV tape that the apple pro book explains.

nothing works, all I see on my DVX is a blue screen.

what exactly do I have to do to get this to work? I despertly need this movie put onto mini-DV by evening tomarrow (was supposed to be tonight, but that got cancelled due to this problem)

What is the framerate on your timeline? To export back to MiniDV, your timeline has to be 29.97 or 23.98, not 24.

Make sure if it's 23.98 that you have the add pulldown feature selected or it won't work either.

MiniDV won't take 23.98 by itself.
