export audio with source footage timecode?

I'm working with fcp studio and need to export aiff audio files to give to a transcriber. The timecode needs to match the source footage so she can indicate the correct timecode on the transcripts. I was told, for example "If the footage starts at 00:01:40, just start it there in the timeline and put a slug in front of it." but I fear this may end up being imprecise, especially when converted to mp3. Does anyone know if there is a way for the export to mirror the source footage's timecode? Any ideas appreciated.

Only way to be sure is send a video reference- i.e. give them a very small H.264 with the timecode burned in a window using the timecode generator filter.

when you say a h.264 do you mean just a really small quicktime export?
