I filmed a short using the dvx100-a with the anamorphic adapter. the whole thing was edited using anamorphic settings but when i export the aspect ratio isn't anamorphic and it stretches the image vertically. anyone know how to fix this??
thanks!

How are you exporting it exactly? Are you using Compressor or just doing a Quicktime Movie export? And the vertical stretch you see is simply the squeeze of SD anamorphic (its what happens if the file isn't flagged as anamorphic).

If you're using Compressor, it should do it fine, and well automatically. If that's not happening, then you will need to go through the inspector tabs. I forget which one, but one of them has the size option, and so make the width 854. And while you're at it, save it as a preset for yourself for future use.

If you're jusing doing a FCP Quicktime Movie export, then after export change the width in Quicktime. Open the saved movie file in Quicktime. Go to View > Show Movie Properties. Click on the Video track. Then go to Visual Settings. Uncheck Preserve Aspect Ratio. Change the width to 854. Close the movie and hit save when it asks you to. Now when you send it to anyone else, QT will natively play it back as Anamorphic for you.

Cheers.
