Experience with MINI35?

The mini 35 is a better built piece of equpitment. But there are many newer 35 adapters that take a better picture than both of them. The SGpro and the Brevis 35 being two examples. The mini 35 has a significant vingette, and of the ones ive used, there are always alignment problems in the prism, leading to soft footage. But just in terms of functionality, i'd take the Mini 35. when its set up properly it takes a good picture when you have good glass.

for what it's worth, i shot with a mini35 a couple of weeks ago. it was nice, but dark... my understanding is that the mini35 loses an added stop because of the additional glass to flip the image back around within the unit. however, the mini35 is very robust in its construction and looks great with a set of zeiss superspeeds. but it's a good 15k by the time it's ready to use in the field.

as far as the image goes, the client was happy.
