Anyone have experiences good/bad with any of the Clearing Houses out there? I called a few and all seem to have a set rate for getting clearance. Pretty much went like this for film fest use for 1 year:
Per song fee
$500 for the Clearing House regardless if cleared from Publisher and/or Label
$500 for the Publisher for "sync"
$500 for the Label for "master use"
I contacted the Label directly and was turned down almost instantly, which leads me to believe they didn't take me seriously. Would the Clearing House have any better luck at getting clearance than me? I'd hate to pay $500 for the same rejection. :crybaby:
