Anyone have any experience using these lights? Looking at picking one up off Ebay with the original electronic ballast.

I have one that I've paired with the new Profoto Cine Reflector (their PAR system) and love it. Tonnes of light output, compact size, and the fixture itself doesn't get hot (only the reflector does) so it cools and can be packed away quite quickly. I've found mine to be rugged and reliable.
The only caveat to be wary of is that (being, technically, a stills light) the light has a fan built into the head, which will come up in the microphone if it's too close to talent. Fortunately I've found the fan noise pretty easy to remove in post, but it is an important point to remember.
