Excel Problem: Trying to create set-up schedule

I'm trying to create a set-up schedule in excel, and automate the process as much as possible, but I run into a problem. I want to type in the time I allot to a set-up in one row, and then I would like to have another row to display the subtotals of the time that elapsed of all shots so far (see attached pic). Can anybody help me with this?

This would make scheduling very easy. It makes it easy to plan lunch breaks etc. and makes it also easy to see if you are ahead of schedule or behind as you are shooting.... Also, you can just update the time you used per set-up as you go, and the last subtotal will tell you if you are going to finish on time that day or if you will go over if you keep continuing with the same pace....

Basic functionality (though I'm sure formula wizards can finesse it more):

Assume the cell under 2:05 is C5.

Type "=sum(c4+b5)" Then copy/paste the cell all along the column.

If the cells are formatted correctly for time, it should work. If I understand what you're trying to do correctly.

David's formula should work, though I think "=c4+b5", for example, would work just as well as "=sum(c4+b5)".

Though I'm not sure exactly what you asking for. Is that image representative of what you have created in Excel, or what you want to create?

edit: I think part of my confusion comes from where you said you "would like to have another row to display the subtotals of the time that elapsed of all shots so far"

Rows are horizontal (left-to-right) in Excel, while columns are vertical (top-to-bottom). Your image shows a column labeled "Time Elapsed" that seems to have what you are asking for.

Another row would be beneath all of your other data. Is that what you are asking for?
