Examples of hpx170 on Merlin

I've heard chatter, but never seen footage or heard someone say "I have an hpx170 and I use it on a merlin and it is __________." Is the Hpx170 on a merlin the bigfoot of the video world. Can anyone point me to clips and attest to whether or not they work well together (and clarify plastic and metal).
