I had a few minutes between the rain and studying to shoot some footage. Hope you enjoy the grabs. *No CC*

so pretty! let's see some video!

i'm shooting a movie with ex1 and LEX tomorrow-friday. can't wait to post some grabs

Some pretty gnarly vignetting you have there, but pretty sharp. What lenses were you using?

Richard, How have you attached the SG to the EX?
Did you just go direct or use the new SG/Letus Flip or perhaps a Flip from Cinevate?

Did you try to zoom in further to eliminate the shadowing (vignetting on both sides?

Might be the EX-1 lens problem rearin' its head? Colors and such look great, though.

Footages.

Richard ,
Do you have any charts. ?
If I send you a file that you could print at Kinko's would you try shooting a chart? I will be doing that with the Cinevate Flip + the SGPro Rev2. It would be great to compare them with an EX.

If you like post your email address or just PM me at <NSLL@pacbell.net>

is that chromatic aberration between the umbrella and the ground....

if it is, it's the second time i've seen it with the SGpro w/ flip. i haven't seen it with the SGpro sans flip.

Actually the edges are quite soft, which seem to be a recurring issue with the EX1 used on an adapter. What zoom setting are you using? That last grab shows the ground texture sharp in the middle, and completely soft at the right edge.

Don't know what some folks are looking at but these grabs are absolutely depressing. THe vignetting and edge softness is only good for static portrait photography. There has to be a better way. Until then, holding off on EX purchase. Anyone out there got a solution?

It's all adapters and the issue is the EX-1's lens. Expect your choice adapter company to have a resolution soon.

As I'm to understand it's a "spherical" or "aspherical" issue with the EX-1 lens and has less to do with the adapters.

The Colors and where the image IS sharp is definitely worth paying attention to and not discounting.
