EX1 Brevis flip at 1080P

This file looks insane on a 1080p 42" LCD. EX-1 really does render some incredible detail.

I'm still catching edge softness with this setup. But, not even gonna get into it as I'm gonna be the ONLY one seeing it.

Thanks for sharing the link.

cmon Kholi, the 1st point mentioned on that thread was there was still edge softness.

you arent the ONLY one that sees it :engel017:

LoL I didn't even read it. I just downloaded the file, sorry. Just sayin', people love to tell me I'm seein' things. Glad that the person that actually shot it sees it and I'm not crazy.

Still, EX-1's renderin' some nice images. =\ Makes it hard to wait.

We viewed it today on our 42" 1080P panel and it is without doubt the sharpest footage we've ever seen, period. Carleton has found that a 104% crop takes care of the overscan/edge softness and because the camera is so bloody sharp, no one will notice it. I believe Adam Wilt rated the EX1 at an honest 1000 lines. The shots of the motorbikes in the first few seconds are just amazing.

We posted this information not to demonstrate that the Brevis flip is perfect on the EX1, but just that it can produce incredibly sharp, commercially viable footage with a few workarounds. The expectation is that our EX1 "corrective" optics will be available very shortly, for a 100% optical fix that will be as good as the current rig for CA, and allow proper sharp zoom-thru for use with cinema lenses using the smaller frame size.
