Hi there,

I'm new to the group, just purchased a DVX100B from Brian over at Zotz Digital. I plan on doing minor event shoots, perhaps a doc and whatever seems interesting. I'm looking for a <1000 wireless system. The G2 seems like it would possibly be sufficient for my needs but after reading a ton of posts it seems like a few of you would recommend going for a used Lectro system. Any fans of the UCR190 system? I'd appreciate your input.

I also just ordered the Oktava MK012 with the hyper cap and I'm looking forward to putting it through its paces.

Cheers,

Sean

I think it was Dave Fisk (Dave, please don't let me put words in your mouth) when he was at Coffey recommended the new G2 over the used 190 (and Coffey would have made more money selling a used 190 at the time). So, the ability to tune frequencies is an important factor to consider. That, and lower overall cost of ownership over time (AA batteries vs. 9V). Either way, you need to buy a good mic to go with it (see other posts about good lavalieres.)
