Everything I hate about today's "music" in one music video

May I be the first to say, "its friiiiieeeday, its friiiieeyday, can't wait for the weekend."

Move over, Loverboy, there's a new song in town.

Nascency Chris, what happens in that video at 1:13 is a bannable offense. You gotta warn a brother before posting something like that...

Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go attend a therapy session to try to get that image scrubbed out of my brain...

man i'm so mad i haven't been on here in awhile. This whole thread has made my week... MAINLY CAUSE IT'S FRIDAY!!!!!

Haha, sorry Barry... I will say its like any other traumatic experience, it will fade given enough time... I can almost laugh about it now!

I tried to find those shorts to dress up like ninja for halloween last year but never had any luck lol...

Die Antwood are f_kin ballers... music is funny and videos are very well done.

BTW

Not sure if its related to the OP, but I ran into this video recently.

and of course

What makes me laugh most is how literal the words are, have you seen the literal video covers of songs you know? Check these, they are AWESOME!

:)

I'll go one better, in 2 words. American Idol. No offense to the participants but I've never heard anything better on that show that couldn't best be described as a 'bar singer'.
Which is where 'most' people go to learn thier craft.

I'm not even going to provide a link to the show. That's the simple truth. Under developed bar singers is what that show is. If they had any real guts they go out and earn it the way everyone else does and then and only then if they were any good they'de be in a position of respect. Or something. Self worth maybe? But not a talent show. Not if you have any talent at all, even a little tiny hint of a bit.

Bar singers who are too lazy to go out and earn a fan base if they can, the hard way- Next- on American Idol. End of that story for me.

//edit: ^ I always liked 'Take on Me' and still do. I thought it was quite creative.

Let's play the real version now though, haha.

//edit: I don't feel like getting into a big google search but the ending was a take on the movie Altered States.
Well, okay, that movie came out in '80 and the music video came out in '85, according to wiki, so, I think I'm done there. Haha.

To answer some original questions: Ark charges ~$2,000 for a music video. They provide song and lyrics as far as I'm gathering. Kind of like those record your own song things at Disneyland or whatever except you know, with more production value?

Seems like a lot of work went into this video for only $2,000. Maybe they've got this down to a science by now. And now, for this:

Remember when every movie had a song written about it that played through the credits?

This Ark thing seems like a glorified version of the "make your own music video" places you'd find in an eighties mall. Like with the inflatable guitar and palm trees as props.

As for the 2nd part of your post, bravo.

Carrie Underwood ? No better than a bar singer ?

FYI

The video for Take On Me was homage to Cronenberg's Altered States.

:) That's not what I said. I said American Idol singers were glorified bar singers.

I said I liked, and still do, Take on Me.

I'm sure you either read it wrong or I just wasn't clear on that. :)

//Edit: I was referring to 2 different previous posts, so I guess there could be some confusion there in the context of it.
