Even if you hate bluegrass music...

Actually play some mandolin my self sometimes. Nothing serious, just porch sessions with some friends.

The videos were taken a year or two ago. The kids have already appeared on Letterman and the Today show. What's interesting to me is how good it sounds in their room. They have maybe 75 videos online, taken by dad I'm sure with a camcorder. The bedroom footage blows away the sound of any of their concert footage, with the exception of course of the Letterman show.

I play a little banjo myself (very little) and blues/bluegrass harmonica. But after seeing that video, I'm thinking of hanging the banjo up.

And what appears to be a RC Monster Truck on the bed.

That is very cool. I grew up in southwest Virginia and am very fond of Bluegrass. Those "Young-ins" kick butt.

What I like is the unintelligible jabber that little kids do, just before launching into an instrumental that quality wise is right up there with any players on the planet. What will these kids play like with a few more years experience? Not sure if they can sing, but it doesn't matter as lots of bluegrass fans would prefer fast instrumentals, which could be their hallmark.
