Estimating Editing Time

I have a potential client (my first), who has a four camera seminar that he wants edited. (Cameras are CU, MS, Wide and crowd). My editing skills in FCP - I like to think - are not too shabby, and I've decided to charge $30 an hour. I just have no idea how long this is likely to take (60 - 90 minuted DVD). I'll also be doing the authoring in DVD Studio Pro. Any suggetsions? Thanks!

Basically sounds like a straight start to finish edit of the seminar. Simple cuts between camera angles and a smooth flow. They indi aged there will be some extraneous footage to weed out, paring down two hours of footage to 60 to 90inutes. They have some livetype files to be inserted, too, and it sounds like they want me to author the DVD.

I'd charge by the day- probably with a flat rate for the project is you get hosed the more revisions they want. That or you agree to turn in an editor's cut for a flat rate and revise at a daily rate. That way they get a rate that's set and you're not co-producing the project by endlessly re-cutting for one price.
