ESPN's bottomline / Most annoying thing ever

[Jason Wilson]

Since when did they start this CNN style bottom of the page graphics that never go off. I am trying to watch the Croatia / Turkey game and it is very annoying to have graphics constantly flashing at the bottom the screen. Why would someone need to be told 47 times an hour that the bluejays coach got fired and Kurt Schiling is done....

They don't do that crap for american football ... why do it for soccer
Also pretty stupid considering people can just switch to ESPNews if they want sports news.

It's actually there pretty much all the time on ESPN. I don't remember if it's there on MNF, but I can't remember a show where it wasn't there.

[Jason Wilson]

i dont watch ESPN much... what an eyesore... its impossible to not read the pointless info like starting pitchers for baseball games that I don't care about...starts to give you a headache

cut me a black piece of mattboard to cover the bottom of the screen...problem solved..

[Jim Brennan]

That's ingenuity for ya. Good match though.

[alveraz]

Once you become accustomed to watching ESPN 24/7 like I do, you forget it's there...

[Jim Brennan]

Yeah, I always look down just as the score I wanted to see is gone...

[Jason Wilson]

great match... everyone is looking a bit spent... looking like penalty kicks for sure

[Jim Brennan]

Gooaalllllllllllllll!

[ConspiracyPenguin]

I find it funny that some people can't help but read tickers etc... I frequently watch cable news and I have no issue completely ignoring the scrolling text at the bottom of the screen, but once in a while if someone is watching with me they will start commenting on random-arse stuff which I later realize they read in the ticker.

[Jim Brennan]

Holy Crap. Penalties after all.
