ERRR output problems

I'm very very new to after effects. I'm simply trying to add some text to some footage. Everytime i output though I have no audio and my video comes out stretched wider than the 4:3 720x480 i put into it. The composition settings say 720x480 and the 3:2 box IS NOT checked. I never have audio during the program either, under time controls the speaker is on but nothing.

Whats with no audio and whats with the stretched output?
 
1. Make sure your pixel aspect ratio is set to match that of your footage.
2. To hear the audio in RAM preview mode click on the last button on the right in the Time Controls palette. If the palette isn't visible choose time controls from the window menu.

i mean output by rendering, when i render i have no audio and the wrong aspect ratio in the final product. I'll mess w it today and look for the little button, by pixel aspect ratio u jus mean the 720x480 ratio in the composition properties box right?
 
in the render que window, you can set the properties for each clip. and each clip has 4 buttons (where to save, with what kind of options-like duration, and rendering format-at this window you should find a sound sections. check there out the sound)
