error message??

Why when ever I start up FCP I get this message
"Configuration error"
The software requires certain hardware or software which is missing

* AGP Graphics Card

It's very annoying because I thought after buying a G5 I would be set to go, instead everythime I use it I have to hit the 'escape' button to get into FCP. Anyone else have this issue and anyone know how to remedy it? Thanks!

FCP 5.1 right? You have to have an AGP Graphics Card. Go to your Apple menu, go to About This Mac, go to More Info, go to Graphics/Displays, what is the graphics card you have? What specific G5 model do you have?

You can try to download "FCP Rescue" and use it to trash your FCP prefs, see what happens.

Nope, that card should be just fine! Yep, use FCP Rescue to trash the prefs. Run Disk Utility and repair all your drives, just for good measure. You should be fine.

But it will let you in if you hit the "escape" button, FCP just continues just fine, eh?
