Error 1311 in installing help

Hi all,

This question is so basic I'm sure for most here but I can't seem to find an answer any where for this so here goes:

I tried to install Vegas 5 to my Pentium 4 Processor and I keep getting this message:

Error 1311 Could not locate source file cabinet:
D:\setup\english\Vegas50\Main.cab.

As far as my system requirement, I do meet all except maybe a video capture card. But I do have a video card. Could that be the reason?

Forgive me but I'm not very good with computer...pls help!!

Hi David,

From a CD..I'm trying to do a full download

Oh, and my software is a student software...dont know if that makes a difference

Yeah, try the Vegas 5.0b download. Your authorization codes should work with it.

"Student" software is exactly the same as the "full" version, only that you didn't pay as much. There is no difference.
