Err vegas 6.0d crashing alot after update?

I was using 6.0 for a long time and it was very solid. Can't think of a single incident where it crashed. Now i updated to 6.0d to possibly use the film effects that weren't working in 6.0. I've had it crash 5 times today while working. I never lost anything and have been extra cautious to save about every 10min now but its still awfully annoying. Anyone else had this problem? any fixes out there?

No problems here. I'd suggest you re-install. Could have been a bad install.

I had a simular experience because I updated Vegas incorrectly. Make sure you UNINSTALL Vegas before you install the update.

That's what I was thinking. I've never uninstalled Vegas when updating.

J5, this may help. I installed 6d and updated the .net framework from microsoft.com. It didn't matter whether I worked on m2t files, cineform or SD, Vegas 6 kept crashing. I uninstalled everything including media manager, soundforge, .net framework, etc - rebooted and reinstalled everything except the latest .net update from microsoft. So far, it's been rock solid for about 7 days.
