Erase wires?

In Vegas? It's going to be a frame-by-frame bezier mask with a "clean" version of the door underneath. You may be able to get the keyframe interpolation to do some of the masking work for you, but matching the "clean" door underneath is going to be tricky, manual, and time-consuming.

After Effects would be your better tool here, no question.
