Eragon

this movie should be put next to the word "average" in the dictionary. I didnt see anything particularly good or bad. Only thing i didnt like was the talking dragon. Felt like the newer godzilla movies when he started talkin.

I didn't know Robert Carlsyle was in it. But once I found out Ive been meaning to see it.

I hadnt seen trailers for 28 Weeks Later and Carlsyle was suddenly on the screen. I prayed like hell he would live on to be a main character. Ever since Trainspotting and Ravenous I've enjoyed him immensely as an actor.

Just rented it. I'd say it was 'average', but a $100M film can't afford to be average (not that it was made for $100M, probably less than half of that).

I'd say the biggest problem was making a film like this for the younger than average crowd. There were a lot of compramises to make it watchable for a pre-teen audiance, including the film's look (should have been darker), obvious dialog (too accurate), pretty dragon, and overly simple characters.
