Equipment List- your recommendations

Ok, hurr we go. This is what I need yet:

Tripod - BOGEN 3046-3433 @ $360

Mattebox - not sure

Lighting Kit - LOWEL DV902Z @ $1,995

Shotgun Mic - Ramsey from EVS recommended the ME66 or this other one, forget the name but he said it was extremely better- it ran for around $400, i'll mod when i remember

Micro35+lens - waiting to see how Kinney's micro looks

I'm golden after that. Any specifics you'd recommend I change or get? thanks guys!

I'll make a couple recommendations.

(1) If you're willing to spend 2 grand on a lighting kit, I say go all the way and get a new (or nice used) ARRI kit. A kit I use all the time has 1 300W Fresnel, 2 650 Fresnels, and a 1000W Flood. I think it's a pretty versatile kit. Plus, the arri kit is definitely more durable than a lowell kit.

(2) The ME-66 is a good mic. I don't know what your shooting applications will be but I always found a wireless lavalier set is also nice to have.
