I am just getting into the DV world and wanted to get a low cost set of lights to begin using. After searching the web I found EOS Lighting LLC. I ordered one of the lighting kits on November 14th and my card was immediately charged and I got a UPS shipping notice. However, when I looked at the UPS notice is said the box only weighed 8 lbs. What I got was a box of extension cords, some tie wraps and a duplicated DVD.
I waited thinking the rest would ship shortly thereafter. Wrong. I called and e-mailed and no response. I finally called the Sales number and someone answered and got transferred to Support. The guy said something got messed up in shipping, blah, blah, blah... Offered to send me a free back drop for my trouble.
Next UPS shipping notice. 4 lbs. Still no lights. Searched on Google but didn't find anything until I found a thread on here about Pacific Coast Lighting (also Day Flo Lighting) and what a scam it was. This is the same guy.
I called my credit card and disputed the order, sent a cancellation notice to the company via the web site and since I used Google Checkout I notified them as well.
