Entertainment attorney - cost ???

Anybody know what an entertainment attorney (EA) costs? Say I write a great script or two and want to use an entertainment attorney to represent me, to shop the script around Hollywood? Anybody know what sort of flat fee or commission or combination EAs charge? I have no idea.
 
They start around $100 and go way up. Just speaking to a few in my area, they started around $175 HR, and didn't seem to know much more than me. Then I have also heard of them costing several hundred per hour. At this rate, it comes down to shooting your movie OR having an Attorney, but not able to afford both.
 
I was thinking in terms of representation for a writer, for a screenplay, what they would charge for that, for shopping a screenplay around Hollywood for a writer.

My attorney is affordable and excellent. He's been known to work out backend deals too, so you're not nailed up front. Email me if interested and I'll shoot him your contact info.
 
Could you elaborate on 'affordable'? I am just trying get some idea on what entertainment attorneys cost for a struggling writer looking for someone to cover their arse and shop a great script around. I have literally no idea, i am in the pitch black darkness on this issue.

You can talk to him about that if you'd like. As mentioned, he's flexible and can work out payment plans or backend deals if he believes you have sale potential. I'm not going to throw out numbers in a public forum regarding my own attorney's fees.
