I Netflix-ed this the other day and, apart from one gigantic lapse in story logic, I thought this was a beautifully shot, well acted film. The cinematography by Haris Zambarloukos was killer. The editing of the opening scene was especially effective. My pick of the week.
 
It's in my Netflix queue so I'll check it out soon. My sister highly recommends the novel on which the film was based. Not sure if I'll read the book or see the movie first.
 
i've heard other people recommend this novel. never read it. but this movie is TERRIBLE. do not watch it. it makes absolutely no sense and is an excuse for Hugh Grant's roommate to act completely irrationally for an hour and a half. this movie will bore you out of your mind. you've been warned.
