Endoscope filming

I've never had anything to do with endoscope filming, but I think it might be the best way of getting a shot I need. Do any of you lot have any experience using endoscopes that you'd be able to share?

I need to film in/just above a flooring crevice for a product film.
Ideally I'm looking for something that can be EF mountable.
Any particular makes and models?
Where does one hire them from (I'm in the UK).

Thanks in advance.

The only time I've used an endoscope as a video feed was in an operating room. The scope was being used by heart surgeons.

From what I remember, the scope attaches to a larger machine that has BNC connectors on the back. When I worked with them (2005-2007) they were all standard definition and many were hooked up to SVHS decks. Could be different now. You should be able to pull a video feed off one of the back connectors but you would have to record it somehow. Nothing is EF mountable as far as I know.

Thanks. I did see an EF mounted endoscope on a vimeo movie, hence I asked here - it did strike me as unusual looking, and not particularly practical though.

I have a endoscope, an Olympus ENF. Fibreoptic with built in led lighting and a steerable end. Made for medical purposes. Small end is only about 4.5mm for over 300mm. I use it to look into transmissions and other mechanical things that I am trouble shooting. I like it because it will fit into a screw hole from a 1/4-20 screw. Once in the hole I can look straight ahead or steer left or right over 90 degrees. Optics are fantastic and has nice light. Light travels down dedicated fibers. There is a small but very low resolution camera that clamps on the end of the eyepiece that plugs into a tv with a RCA plug. I'm looking to upgrade the camera sometime but it can wait. I picked this up on Craigs list cheap but a endoscope of this quality will set you back around 7 thousand dollars. Maybe medical supply houses have rentals?
