Thanks.

Thanks, and by the way, "teddy bear", isn't that a Tarsier ? Where exactly is Bohol Island ? Looks like a place I'd love to visit.

Hello Geaorge,

yeah it is a Tarsier! the mascot of our island! Bohol is in the central visayas region of the Philippines. One of the Country's top tourist destination.

Allow me to pitch, hehe... heres a tourism video i made for the island.

Beeeeeeeeeeeeeautiful, beautiful work on that tourism video Ted. Excellent !! What an incredibly beautiful island that is. My wife/partner and I will seriously consider visiting it possibly next year when we go on our extended trip to Africa and Madagascar.

What would interest us most is the wildlife and the scuba diving, and I have "got" to try that "fly through the forest" thingy.

I was VERY interested in your test of the Red-One and the Canon 7D. Our aim is to get a Scarlet when it is "finally" released, but I'm beginning to wonder now if Canon might just beat them to the punch if they can come out with a DSLR that has the moire and line-skipping problems solved. I'd much rather have a camera from a "long-time, well established" company like Canon or Nikon anyway. The restrictions, rules and regulations that RED puts on their equipment, has always been a turn off to me. The money is not as important as the quality you get FOR your money.

We look forward to the possibility of maybe meeting you and seeing the Tarsiers and other wildlife of that island in the future.

Thanks.

George,

If theres another thing our island is known for in other countries, ITS DIVING, in fact, my DP friend who left his red one with me, lives here after he does his shoots in other countries for that reason, the diving. He is currently making a custom carbon fiber housing for his red. Sadly he is in denmark right now recuperating from a motor cycle accident.

You are correct on your view on the canons, and thats another reason he left his Red with me, its because he finds that he is picking up his 5D markii often than his red! haha, and its just sitting here cuz I find my 7D up to the task I do.

I am currently testing an anti moire filter from caprock. I have the 1.0 filter and it has worked on my wide lenses up to 15mm.

Why don't you give it a look. Its one way of finally solving one if not the major problem of the canons.

All the best,

Ted

How do I go about doing that Ted? I'm not sure what filter you are referring to.

The biggest problem I have with things like that is that they soften up the image a little, and for our purposes, we need our subjects as sharp as possible.

Do you sell these filters, or what do you think is a good source for them?

Thanks again.
