I understand that there is a difference between a regular television set (NTSC or PAL) and monitor, as far as quality. What do you do in this case?- Here I am creating these movie clips, then plugging them into an iDVD menu. One looks better on TV. And vise versa, it may look better on a monitor. They appear pixelated and not very sharp looking? -Same goes with still images I create, importing them from my iPhoto app.?
(images: jpegs, 2-2.5MB file size, at 'fine' quality setting when taken with a still digital camera; fonts: all that came with the operating system)
Lastly, I find it odd how at times I can see flaws in the images on my display. But when I take the finished burned DVD and play it on most television displays it looks smooth.
1. Will I have to get DVD Studio Pro to format the burn process for television or monitor? -So then I'd be having one burned copy for regular television and another for digital monitors?
2 Or does this formatting happen on the editing phase, in either FCPHD or FC Express? -So then I would have to have two of the same edited projects, but one for regular television and the other for digital monitors?
3. Or do you think importing huge image file is good to set yourself up for regular television screens, digital monitors or perhaps HDTV displays?
4. And lastly: Do you think that the deinterlace filter will cover it all? Is that just a FCP or FCExpress feature?
5. What to do to achieve the best results?
:-/ It's a lot. I know. Sorry. Stressed.
