I have a 40minute clip, rendered via media encoder, 4vbr 2pass which i usually burn via tempenc. I am curious about Enocre.
Do you think its a better aplication for authoring and burning?
Thanks

Encore is totally overkill for just "burning" a DVD, however, if you need sophisticated menus and structure to your project then it is a great choice.

So what you're saying is the tempenc is fine and that other than fancy titles, Encore will not do anything "quality-wise" to a already rendered file?

An already MPEG encoded file will not be altered in terms of quality by any authoring program. Once it is encoded, it is what it is.

Make sure tho, if you are dumping to a DVD that you use the Adobe Media Encoder to render it in mpeg2, otherwise you will get quality loss.

Since im so used to Encore I do use it for simple stuff. Just open a new Project, "import as timeline" and choose your rendered video. Set as first play and bingo, simple DVD. I like its simplicity.
