Encore Issue.. please help!

Ok, so I rendered my project in premiere cs3 and turned it into an mpeg2 file with dvd multiplexing, high quality video, pretty much all the good stuff (from what I could see in the options).

Next I loaded the file in Encore cs3 and I added the chapters, menus, etc. After I made sure the dvd would be working and everything was correct I built a dvd ready to burn. Everything was going smooth until I put the dvd into my dvd player.

It looked ok, however most of the picture was distorted, especially the background. The menus, chapters and everything else came out ok, but the actual picture bothered me because I made a dvd a day earlier of the same footage and it came out good. I made the 1st dvd with sonic mydvd and no chapters though.

So what did I do that made the picture come out distorted? Also, every once in a while the actual footage will glitch and skip for a second or 2. I have to get this project to the company ASAP.. please help! Mydvd worked and Encore is hating.. any advice will be appreciated.

I've done about six fully authored DVDs since I moved to CS3 and have not seen this problem.

I'd recommend that you go back and look at your transcode settings and walk yourself though each of them to make sure that they are what you want. If that doesn't help, a call to Adobe support might be your quickest path to success.

Hi,

What was the original footage? Some CODEC to CODEC settings are tricky. You might get a better result by using a progressive frame setting on your output.
