encore blue ray freeeeeze!

anyone have this problem?? as soon as i select blue-ray in the build window/section the computer freezes up and requires a hard shut down. i don't have a blue ray player installed but need to output to folder or image...but blue ray screws it all up. it's not the files, cuz i've also tried with an empty project with 0 assets and get the same result....could it be that adobe is kinda sucky? haha
 
Yes, Encore is weird like that. Install all updates, cross your fingers, and keep trying until it works. I have had several projects absolutely fail to even load, I had to start all over from the beginning.

Also check the drive that your rendering to: is it full? do you have permissions?

I am talking about rendering not building.
 
Had a similar problem. If you are trying to run Encore CS4 on a Windows 7 machine it will crash because " Windows 7 installs an outdated version of the Roxio pxhelp driver, which causes a crash when Blu-ray format is selected in Encore CS4."

The solution?

"Install an updated version of the pxhelp driver from Roxio. The updated driver is available here: http://docs.roxio.com/patches/pxengine4_18_16a.zip"

Hope that helps. Even if you don't run on Windows 7 try the update anyways.
