EMERGENCY Netbook, notebook, etc...

Hey. If you look at my other thread, pretty much my terrible, terrible HP Compaq laptop is dead (I didn't choose it, it was a gift some time ago...). So now I'm using my junky old slow computer and this won't do.

The bad part is, I'm in the middle of shooting my graduation short for college! So I don't have a lot of dough! I'm editing on the computers at school, but I need a basic computer at home (one that runs Word, email youtube, etc).

I was looking at getting a netbook for the time being. I really don't like them, but I just need a temp computer and the price is right. I saw a Samsung one on sale for less than 300 with good ratings.

But that was new. Anyone have any refurb, open box, or used net or notebooks? I'm looking for 300 or less. Again, this is a temp computer to get me through the rest of the year, so I need something cheap that will last me at least a year. I was going to make this a WTB in the Marketplace, but I'm really looking for anything- including links to good deals or sites you know of.

If you have one to sell though, PM me.

Thanks!

buy a refurb

from lenovo or dell with coupon
under $200 shipped and can be hooked up to lcd or hdtv

i have a mini htpc

would sell for $100 if you are close
single core with 1gb dual channel & 256mb radeon proxt

3 firewire ports and 4 usb 2 vivo svideo dvd writer and a few other features

The lowest I've seen Dells refurbed are 250. What coupon do you speak of?

And the only problem I have with netbooks is that they can't handle video too well. Is this true? I watched a review of a Dell and the guy said streaming video is pretty much impossible and that some video codecs cause major issues.
