Emailing a Quicktime Video File...

How do I go about emailing or sending a short quicktime file to someone via instant messenger or email? I tried to send an animated logo to graphic designer and it said 4 hours to upload! We both have high speed internet.

Also how do I send a music file (AIFF) or Mp3 file to someone in email or instant messenger?

You said quick so I assume it's under 10 meg. Depends on your ISP but if it has a web based email page (for using when traveling) send it through there and it might be a bit quicker. Uploading is almost always way slower then downloading.

i woulndt do it through IM. your upload speeds will be slow...and the recieving person is going to be bummed out cause its slow. if you email it, try zipping it. that might help a bit.

If you do send it through IM, just direct connect and send it... I compressed a quicktime video and sent in through IM the other day... It was 13mb, and it took about 4 minutes.

Not sure about those kind of speeds, but I thought it was pretty good.

Or you can get a gmail account! You should be able to shoot a 10mb video.
