Has anyone ever bought anything from EliteCamcorders dot com? I am considering buying a Nikon D90 package deal from them and wanted to know if anyone ever had any issues with them. I noticed they are selling the HVX200 brand new for $2,799. I didn't know the price had dropped that low already.

Bait and switch scam. If it's too good to be true, it is.

They are apparently a part of these folks:

Please read the where to buy sticky in the HVX section. It's a bit dated, but still relevant:

Never trust prices that are too low. Also, the name 'EliteCamcorders' just sounds like a scam site. Not very professional sounding at all.

This was my first thought as well. To be honest, I am hesitant to buy expensive equipment online just because I can't see the gear for myself.

Very true...I am going to stay away from those folks! Finnegan I felt that way when the DVX100 first came out and I ended up buying mine online from some place called buydig dot com and everything was fine but yes I have heard of many places that scam people though.
