Hi Folks!

Just finished recording a cover of a classic Christmas song - with a bit of an alt/indie/rock twist - as a fun freebie for all you DVXers. You can Download it here:

El Dog - Let It Snow!

Feel free to share it with friends or just have a listen. We would love it to end up along with some moving images, so if you fancy syncing it to some festive test footage or want to practice your music video chops we would love to see it! Just remember to credit El Dog with recording and and Sammy Cahn for the original.

Happy Holidays!

Jim - El Dog

Thanks, nice track. Always happy to have another song in my "soundtrack possibles" playlist. :) Do you have any other (free) music we can use?

P.S.S. Just checked out the myspace page also. You guys have a great sound! very original, and I dig it.

Thanks guys for your kind words! This was just a bit of fun, but the El Dog album – which has been a 3 year labor of love – is done and will be out second quarter '09.

We may have some more DVXUser exclusives coming in the new year too. I run a Label representing numerous great acts: Trashcan Sinatras, Jo Mango, Ben TD, The Brother Louis Collective. Some really great records hitting the shelves next year, and we are considering doing some sync exclusives for the boards here. Let me know if that would be of interest, we might even see if we can tie it in with a mini festival.

Funny, the Redhouse Painters get referenced from time to time, and none of us had listened to them until people started mentioning the vocal similarities!
