El-cheapo-macro: Extension tubes or close-up lens?

Greetings,

I'd like to be able to do the occasional macro shot, without having to invest in real macro lens.
My first choice would of course be extension tubes because they don't add any extra glass, but would that work with a 35mm adapter?
Specifically I'd be using:
Contax/Yashica lens ->> Contax-to-EOS adapter ->> EOS Extension Tubes ->> EOS mount SGpro.

Thank you

i bought an amazing tamron 90mm f2.5 macro for $120. Not overly expensive but great glass! So its not THAT expensive to get a good macro.

Have a look at those bellow rigs, they are more flexible (pun intended) than the tubes or macro lenses.

Thanks!

Thought bellows would be too expensive to be a viable option, but at $30 on E-bay I'll definitely consider it.
